MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has summoned top members of the Sultanate of Sulu in connection with its ongoing investigation on the supposed "conspiracy theory" on the crisis in Sabah.
Fatima Cecilia Kiram said she and her husband, Sulu Sultan Jamalul Kiram III, are being subpoenaed to appear before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on March 10 at 10 a.m.
She said that also named in the subpoena were Sultan Kiram's brother, Sultan Bantilan Esmail Kiram II, who met with Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas on Monday.
Roxas and Esmael Kiram talked about the possible "disengagement" of the sultanate's army, including Raja Muda Agbimuddin Kiram, from Sabah to end the crisis.
Also being summoned to appear before the NBI was Ibrajim Idjirani, secretary general and spokesperson of the sultanate.

Pastor "Boy" Saycon, an adviser of the sultanate of Sulu and a political strategist and secretary- general of the Council for Philippine Affairs (COPA), went to the NBI on Tuesday morning.
He and two others -- former National Security Adviser Norberto Gonzales and former broadcast journalist Waldy Carbonel -- were also invited to appear before the NBI. - philSTAR
